新闻传播研究所为研究新闻传播理论与实践问题的学术机构，主要研究方向包括新闻传播现实问题、新媒体与社会、大数据与舆情研究、跨文化传播等。

The Institute of Journalism and Communication Research is an academic institution for the studies on theories and practice of journalism and communication. Our research mainly focus on the realistic problems of journalism， new media & the social development, big data& public opinions research and cross-cultural communication etc.

我们结合新闻传播工作的具体实践，为建立适应时代发展需求的新闻传播理论体系开展学术研究，为新闻传媒改革提供理论支持和咨询服务；探讨新媒体对传统媒体的冲击与影响，构建新媒体传播理论，追踪研究网络舆情；为了适应信息传播全球化的发展需要，开展我国对外新闻传播和国际新闻传播的理论与实践问题研究等。

We systematically carry out the theoretical research on the practice of journalism and communication to meet the development of society. Our team aims to provide the theoretical support and practical consulting services for the reform of media; to explore the development of new media and its shock and effect on traditional media; also try to build new communication theories of new media. Furthermore, we work hard to apply the big data to online public opinions research. And in order to meet the transforming of global information and communication markets, we continually carry out the study on the theoretical and practical problems of international communication and journalism of China.

研究所现有科研教学人员13人，其中教授3人，副教授3人，讲师7人。其中博士8人。目前承担国家社科基金2项，省部级项目5项，出版专著10余部，在核心期刊发表学术论文100余篇。

There are 13 teaching and research staffs in the institute, including 3 professors, 3 associate professors and 7 lecturers, among them there are 8 Ph. Doctors. At present, several research projects are undergoing, 2 of them are supported by national social science funds, 5 of them are supported by provincial social science funds. We also have over 10 academic monographs and more than 100 research papers.
